Tate grew up in Collingwood and was an avid multi-sport athlete, with a particular passion for hockey and soccer. His experiences navigating sports injuries from a young age- and the support he received from physiotherapists- sparked an early interest in rehabilitation and inspired his pursuit of a career in physiotherapy.
Tate completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo, where he gained valuable experience working with varsity sports teams as a Strength and Conditioning intern. Through this role, he developed a strong interest in helping individuals recover from injury and return to peak performance, applying the same principles used to optimize performance in healthy athletes.
He went on to earn a Masters degree in Physiotherapy from Western University, graduating in 2023. Tate joined the Peak to Shore team shortly thereafter, bringing a passion for evidence-based care and a commitment to helping clients achieve their goals.
When not working with patients at Peak to Shore in Collingwood and Wasaga Beach, Tate can be found enjoying the beach, working out in the gym, playing recreational sports, and playing music with friends.
