Amy Kress

(Physiotherapy Resident)

  • BScKin
  • MScPT

Originally from Oakville, Ontario, Amy grew up spending her weekends in Collingwood, which is where her love for the outdoors stems from. She was a ski racer at the Georgian Peaks Ski club and raced 2 years of FIS for the SOD ski team. In 2016, she fell training and tore her ACL. This led to Amy spending 9 months in physiotherapy working hard to get back on the slopes. This experience sparked Amy’s passion for physiotherapy and helping people get back to doing what they love.

Amy completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Rehabilitation Sciences in 2023. During this time, she had the opportunity to work with the University of Waterloo Women’s Soccer team as a student therapist, gaining valuable experience in helping individuals recover from injury and return to peak performance. Amy went on to go to McMaster University, completing her Masters of Physiotherapy in 2025.

Amy grew up playing many sports including alpine skiing, soccer, basketball, volleyball and Tae kwon do and she is passionate about physical activity and using it to help others reach their full potential.

When not at work, you can find Amy mountain biking, skiing, working out, running the occasional Spartan race or hiking with her dog/furry best friend, Maple.
